2. Plug: Connect the plug to the IBP socket on the monitor.
3. Dome: One end is connected to the blood vessels to be measured via aqueduct (or tube for transfusion).
The aqueduct should be filled with liquid (blood or normal saline). The other end can be used for
transfusing medicine.
Please note the dome is one-off (can only be used once) and can not be
reused.
4. Clean the device: Put the pressure transducer into cleansing liquid and squeeze with your thumb and
index finger so as to clean the remains of the pressure transducer.
Precaution:
1. The transducer must be placed at the same height as the measured position
2.
The usage of Stopcock: “Off” to the channel and the channel will be closed.
3. The usage of the flush switch: Press it for opening.
4. 0 calibration must be carried out before each measurement, and 100mmHg calibration also should be
carried out when necessary.
5. Use the saline solution to expulse the air from the tube, the methods are as follows:
Method 1:
Turn off the stopcock (“Off” to the direction where is no connector). Input the saline solution into the
patient connector by syringe, and press Flash switch for opening until the saline solution run off through
the vent and ensure there is no air bubbles in the tube.
Method 2:
Connect one end of the transfusion tube (with syringe) to the brine bag, and connect the other end to the
vent. Apply pressure to the brine bag to let the pressure reaches 300mmHg-400mmHg, then press Flash
switch for opening and turn off the stopcock (“Off” to the direction where is no connector) until the saline
solution run off through the vent and ensure there is no air bubbles in the tube.
6. Transducer 0 calibration: Expulse all the air from the tube, then adjust the transfusion tube and stopcock
(“Off” to the transfusion tube). Open the dust cap, and ensure the dome touch the air. Enter the system
menu, and move the cursor to “0 calibration”, then press Navigation Knob and rotate it to choose
“proceed”, and “succeed” will display on the screen. The value is less than 400 but not the 0.
