Setting Up the BayStack Instant Internet 100-S Unit
Configuring a direct connection
Regardless of the terminal emulation environment you use, you must set the
connection speed to 115200, set the flow control to hardware (RTS/CTS), and
connect the Instant Internet unit’s AUX port to the PC’s COM1 port.
This procedure provides instructions for configuring the HyperTerminal terminal
emulation software.
To create a HyperTerminal PC connection profile:

Start the HyperTerminal software.
The Connection Description dialog box opens

In the Name box, enter a name for the connection.

In the Icon area, select an icon for the connection.

Click OK.
The Connect To dialog box opens
(Figure 8)

Caution:
If you are configuring the unit, wait for LED 2 to glow
amber before you proceed.
