Installing the Switch Hardware
This section describes how to install the Application Switch and connect cables to the network
ports, the management port, and the console port.
Package Contents
An Application Switch is shipped with the following items:
•
Two mounting brackets for a 19” rack or wall mounting.
•
Eight Phillips screws for installing the mounting brackets of the Nortel Application Switch
unit and twelve Phillips screws for installing the mounting brackets of the E and DC variants.
•
Unless otherwise specified by the customer, the AC powered Application Switch is shipped
with two AC power cords, one for North America and one for Europe.
Table 8
contains a
listing of order numbers for regional power cords.
