10. Total tension of
the springs
The number of turns solely depends
on the door height.
The model nameplate indicates the
number of turns required to tighten
the spring. This nameplate is
located on the second door section,
on the inner left-hand side.
-Rotate the spring 360º for the number
of turns indicated on the model
nameplate.
-Follow the same procedure for the
other springs.
Check for correct operation:
The spirals will indicate that the correct
number of turns has been made.
In the example, the door spring has
been rotated for 4 turns.
Note:
Once all the springs have been
tightened and secured in position,
check the door balance. If necessary,
increase the number of turns until
the door, when at the half-way
position, shows a slight tendency to
move upwards.
Warning!
Once the door has been opened a few times, the spring tension decreases.
Some 8-12 weeks after putting the door into operation
, check the spring tension
and increase if necessary.
