8. See Figure 6. Unscrew the retainer ring that secures the nozzle to
the extension (2). Inspect both the nozzle and retainer ring (1) and
replace, if necessary.

9. Unscrew and remove the packing cartridge (4) from the extension (2).
10. Unscrew the ball tip assembly (3) from the packing cartridge (4).
Clasp the hex nut on the packing cartridge with a wrench. Use a
second wrench to clasp the flats on the ball tip assembly and unscrew
the ball tip assembly from the packing cartridge. Inspect and replace,
if necessary.
11. Clean all the parts before reassembly. Use the solvent sparingly on
the insulators. Soaking the components in the solvent for long
periods of time can damage them. Wipe all the parts dry before
reassembly.
