Care and Maintenance
Wipe the device with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent or 10% bleach solution. Do not use
undiluted bleach or any cleaning solution other than those recommended here, as permanent damage
could result. Dry with a soft cloth, or allow to air dry.
Clean the device separately from the sensors. For instructions on cleaning pulse oximeter sensors, refer
to the respective sensor instructions for use.
Maintenance
The 9847 requires no routine calibration or maintenance, other than battery replacement.

by Datrend Systems, Inc. can be used to verify operation of the pulse oximeter.

Returning the CO

Sensor for Service
If the Model 9840SA CO
2
Sensor must be returned to Nonin for service, the product should be free of
any contaminants, and sterilization may be required. Contact Nonin’s Technical Service department for
shipping instructions.
CAUTION:
Do not place the Model 9847 in liquid or clean it with agents containing
ammonium chloride, isopropyl alcohol, or products that are not listed in this User’s
Guide.

sensors.
