REMOVABLE INNER COMFORT PADDING
(Only for versions equipped with removable inner padding)
To remove and/or reassemble the inner comfort padding, lift the VPS (Fig 6 A).
1
REMOVAL
1.1 Pull up the visor and unfasten the chin strap (see relative instructions).
1.2 Take hold of the left cheek pad and pull towards the inside of the helmet to undo the snap
fasteners on the back. Pull out the side flap located between the sealing edge and the inner
shell, detach all of the cheek pad from the helmet (Fig. 10 A).
1.3 Repeat steps 1.2 on the right cheek pad.
1.4 Release the left rear fastening flap from the support fixed to the inner shell by slightly deform-
ing the shell sealing edge and slightly pulling the comfort padding in the helmet neck-ring
area towards the inside (Fig. 11).
Then repeat the same steps to remove the central flap as well as the right rear flap.
1.5 Hold the left front part of the liner and pull it upwards in order to remove the liner flap from
the support fixed to the inner polystyrene shell (Fig. 12). Repeat the same steps to remove
the right and central front flap.
1.6 Completely remove the liner from the helmet.
2 ASSEMBLY
2.1 Insert the liner correctly into the helmet and fit it well against the base.
2.2 Insert the left front flap into the seat on the support fixed to the polystyrene inner shell and
push it slightly downwards until it is completely locked (Fig. 12). Follow the same steps for
the right and central front flap.
2.3 Insert the rear right, central and left flaps of the liner into the relevant support seats in the hel-
met neck-ring area (Fig. 11). To perform this step, act as follows: Slightly deform the shell
sealing edge and push the flaps until they are completely hooked to the support.
Note: Check the correct assembly of the liner front area by lifting and lowering the VPS. These
movements should be smooth. If this is not the case, repeat the steps 1.5 and 2.2.
2.4 Insert the chin strap into the appropriate space on the cheek pad; insert the back hard
plastic flap of the cheek pad under the shell sealing edge, between the cheek pad and the
inner shell.
2.5 Make sure that the cheek pad is in the correct position so that all the snap buttons are in line
with their housings.
2.6 Insert the hard flap all the way into the groove under the base edge and hook the three but-
tons (Fig.10 A).
2.7 Insert the front cheek pad flap between the chin guard and the base edge trim (Fig.10 B).
Warning: The buttons are not hooked until a click is heard.
2.8 Check that the strap comes out properly from the cheek pad.
2.9 Repeat steps 2.4 to 2.7 on the other side of the cheek pad.
