First time installation
Motor antenna configuration
If you have an antenna motor to control your satellite antenna you
must configure the following settings.
• From the
Antenna Type Selection
menu select option
Mo-
tor Antenna
and press
ok
.
Type of motor
• Select SatScan when you have a Nokia SatScan motor.
• Select DiSEqC when the motor that you have is controlled by
DiSEqC commands.
LNB type
Select the correct LNB type for your configuration. Universal and
some LNBs with fixed frequencies can be selected using the
buttons.
LNB offset voltage
If the cable from the antenna is very long, the voltage to the LNB
could be too low to change the polarisation. You can increase the
voltage to the LNB by 0.5 V.
Predefined channel
Select one of the predefined channels and adjust the antenna un-
til a TV picture from the predefined channel is visible on the
screen.
Adjusting the motor for Astra/Hotbird
To continue the installation you must now determine the
angle to Astra 1 when you use a SatScan motor or
Hotbird when you use a DiSEqC motor. The motor and
the antenna must be adjusted towards the Astra 1 sat-
ellites at 19.2
°
East or Hotbird satellites at 13
°
East as this
is the reference setting. All other pre-programmed sat-
ellite positions are oriented relative to Astra 1 or Hotbird.
You must also mount the antenna in a suitable location
outdoors.
For more information, please read the separate installa-
tion instructions for the SatScan or DiSEqC motor.
Adjust limits
Note!
You
only
have to adjust limits if the antenna is prevented
from reaching its normal East/West limit positions. This could be
the case, for example, when the antenna is mounted too close
to a wall or in any similar situation.
To set the limits, adjust the antenna using the buttons.
• First, move the antenna as far as possible to the east.
• Then move the antenna as far as possible to the west.
• Press
ok
to confirm the settings and to continue with the
Channel search procedure.
