How to check Tail Light power input

Turn the power ON

Check DC voltage between Red/White wire and Black wire on harness side

Step 3

DC voltage reading on multimeter should be around~12V

Step 4

Press the brake

DC voltage reading on multimeter should also be around~12V

If 12V exist and Tail light does not illuminate

then replace the taillight
