The FastGene
®
electronic pipette series provide user with a dispensing volume calibration function.
Using this function, it is easy to correct (calibrate) errors due to differences in tips used, etc. When you
need to always control the dispensed volumes in a precise manner, perform volume calibration as
necessary when you change the dispensing volume setting.

Volume calibration function (

L calibration function)
This is a function to correct the dispensing volume of the FastGene
®
electronic pipette series. Using a
FastGene
®
electronic pipette to aspirate a selected volume (
e.g.
100 µl) and dispense it for accurate
weighing on a precision scale. In case of a difference between the preselected volume and the
measured one, enter the measured volume to the pipette (see instruction below) correcting the
deviation.
Calibrating the dispensing volume
1. Set the FastGene
®
electronic pipette in the AUTO mode to a defined volume (for example 100 µl).
2. Use an electronic balance and weigh the actual dispensed volume.
3. Enter the actual measured weight to the pipette as described by the following procedure.
