Masking Sheets

When scanning film strips one at a time, be sure to cover the remaining apertures with a masking sheet.
Make sure to place the film strip on the left side and the mask strip of the right side with respect to the
direction of insertion as shown below.

When scanning two strips of different lengths, cover any open apertures by cutting a masking sheet into
the appropriate lengths and placing it over the apertures.  Leaving apertures open when scanning film of
different lengths can interfere with accurate color reproduction.

When scanning two film strips containing less than six frames but of equal length, place the film so that it
covers the apertures at the end of the holder that will be inserted in the scanner.

Leaving the apertures at the front of the holder uncovered can interfere with accurate color reproduction.
