IR Remote Control 41-928

Operation

The IR Remote Control 41-928 is used for setting various
parameters for the motion detector 41-100.

Settings

Settings using IR remote control:

Fig. 1.

For proper verification that the motion detector has received a
signal from the remote control, the red LED will flash, acknow-
ledging the signal has been received OK.

Lock/unlock:
Press “Lock/unlock” three times to “unlock” the motion detec-
tor – edit mode. The green LED flashes each time “Lock/unlock”
is pressed. The detector acknowledges with two flashes from
the green LED, programming mode is active. The button must
be pushed 3 times within 5 seconds. Press “Lock/unlock” once
to “lock” – operating mode. The motion detector acknowledges
with two flashes from the green LED. For all settings (except
“Light On/Off”, “Status”, “Short push” and “Long push”) the
detector must be unlocked, the setting selected and then the
detector must be locked again for the setting to become active.
If the motion detector is not locked, it will lock automatically after
one minute of inactivity and any modified settings will be saved.

Applications:
The motion sensor can be adjusted to operate as: Auto On/Off or
Active On/Auto Off.

App. Auto:
Auto On/Auto Off  - for e.g. staircases:
Automatic switch on/off using daylight-dependent motion detec-
tor, light sensor has first priority. The light switches on
automatically when the motion detector detects activity within
the detection range and the light level is below the preset level.
The light is switched off automatically after a predetermined
period when detection of movement in the motion detector’s
detection range has ceased, or the light level remains above the
preset level for five minutes.

The light can

always

be switched on via the operating button, if

connected.

If this functionality is desired, press three times at “Lock/unlock”
followed by “App. Auto” button.

App. Active:
Active On/Auto Off  – to e.g. in archive:
The motion detector is to be switched on using the operating
button (Active On), or by activating the “Short push”. Option for
manual off (ECO off).

Automatic switch off using motion detector or light level, light
sensor has first priority (Auto Off). When the light level is below
the preset level, the light can be switched on using the manual
switch. The light switches off automatically after a predeter-
mined period once registration of activity in the motion detector’s
coverage area has ceased, or the light level remains above the
preset level for five minutes. 230 V operating button

must

 be

connected if manual override is desired.

If this functionality is desired, press three times at “Lock/unlock”
followed by “App. Active” button.

It is possible to perform a long press via the operating button.
A long press is intended for situations in which the light needs
to be switched on or switched off for extended periods. A long
press is a press lasting more than one second, and is daylight-

independent

. Performed using either the connected pushbut-

ton power switch or using the “Long push” button. If the light
is on, the light will switch off and the movement sensor will be
disabled as long as activity is detected and the cut-out time + 2
hours have not elapsed. After this the motion detector switches
to automatic mode, and the light switches on according to the
selected application.

Example:
The time has been set to 15 minutes, so the motion detector will
switch to automatic mode 2 hours and 15 minutes after it last
detected activity. If the light is off, the light will switch on (regard-
less of light levels) and the mo-tion detector will keep it on as
long as movement is detected and the cut-out time + 2 hours
have not elapsed. The light then turns off, the motion detector
switches to automatic mode, and the light switches on according
to the selected application.

If the “long press” function must be interrupted, this is done via
a short press on the connected pushbutton power switch, or via
a “Short push”, after which the detector returns to automatic and
the light switches on according to the selected application.

Light On/Off:
This function turns the light on/off constantly, independently of
registered activity and light level. If this function is activated,
the red LED will flash On 0.25 sec. and Off 10 sec. The detec-
tor will remain in the selected function until it is cancelled again,
either by pressing “Light On/Off” three times within five sec., by
pressing the “Short push” button once, or by short-pressing the
connected 230 V button. After this, the detector will return to
automatic operation in accordance with the configured settings.

LUX buttons:
Setting of light level. There are 10 preset settings: 20/50/100/
200/300/400/500/700/1000 and no lux (daylight

independent

), as

well as a user-defined light value “Learn actual lux”.

The user-defined Lux value “Learn actual lux” functions in the
range of 20-1500 Lux. If the current Lux value is out-side of the
Lux range, the lowest or the highest Lux value is selected auto-
