2. SAFETY WARNINGS
2.1. General safety regulations
Mounting, installation and initial activation of and repairs to electrical devices may only be carried out by qualified electricians. Comply with the
rules and standards applicable to technical installations.

Please observe the safety requirements in accordance with the statutory laws, standards, regulations and
rules when working on installations functioning on an alternating current of 230 V.
When positioning bus installations, please observe the general safety regulations for telecommunications equipment in accordance with the
statutory laws, regulations and rules.
Carefully read the mounting and user manual prior to installation.
In doing so, any damage caused by incorrect use is avoided.
• Observe the climatic conditions, temperature and humidity.
• Do not place the camera directly in the sun.
• All electricity conditions must be met.
• Handle the device carefully. Do not drop the camera to prevent damage.
• Avoid powerful shocks or vibration.
• Also do not aim the camera directly into the sun! It could damage it, as that might cause the image sensor to fail.
• Mounting, installation and initial activation may only be carried out by qualified electri-cians!
• Do not try to fix the camera yourself. Only professionals and the customer service may perform repair work.
• Do not open the device. The camera does not contain any components which should be maintained by the user.
2.2. Installation - safeguard measures
ATTENTION!
Provide adequate protection against lighting strikes so that the voltage on the bus a- and b-conductors is never above 32 V DC.
3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
3.1. Intended use
• The dome camera 10-491-01 is suitable for indoor use and in sheltered locations outdoors.
• The two-wire video transmitter serves to connect cameras produced by other manufacturers to a video system and is suited for mounting in flush-mounting boxes.
• Commercially available video devices (AV output, video line output, etc.) with an outgoing composite signal can be connected to the input of the two-wire
video transmitter (75 Ω, asymmetrical).
3.2. Short description
• The video source must produce a composite video signal with negative synchronisation (international standard). This is converted into a video signal (V1, V2)
for a 6-wire technology bus installation.
• The camera receives the necessary 12 V / 250 mA input via the integrated power supply of the video transmitter.
• If necessary, it is possible to adjust the video signal using a control button, e.g. to compensate for signal loss on the connection wire.
• In case of a high load, the output voltage is switched off via thermal protection.
