8.10 CS/PS Calibration
* Applies only to the ARK-510A, ARK-530A, and ARK-560A.
1 . Attach the PD checking jig (32545-1002) (see 8.2.13 [p116]) .
* A scale can be used as substitute for the PD checking jig (32545-1002).
2 . Enter MENU mode, and select 16. CS PS ADJUST (see 8.1.1 [p103]) .
3 . Press the start button.
4 . The screen is captured, then the CS cali-
bration screen appears and the right cur-
sor turns pink.
5 . Perform CS calibration as follows:
1 ) Align the right cursor to the scale
with the right or left button.
2 ) Select the left cursor with the down
button.
3 ) Align the left cursor to a position 12
mm away from the right cursor with
the right or left button.
6 . Press the start button to display the PS
calibration screen.
7 . Perform PS calibration as follows:
1 ) Align the right cursor to the graduation of the scale with the right or left but-
ton.
2 ) Select the left cursor with the down button.
3 ) Align the left cursor to a position 5 mm away from the right cursor with the right or
left button.
8 . Press the SAVE button to save the setting.
9 . Measure the CS value at 12 mm and PS value at 5 mm, and confirm that the measured val-
ues are within the following the specifications.
1 ) CS: 12 mm ±0.2 mm
2 ) PS: 5 mm ±0.2 mm
10. If the CS or PS measurement values are not within the specifications, recalibrate the items
that are not within the specifications.
