Troubleshooting
The following are general checkpoints; please call your local Shimpo representative or
contact Shimpo Instruments at (800) 237-7079 for further assistance.
Can not find "Setup" file to install Loadmeter software.
Double-click the [My Computer] icon on the Windows desktop, double-click [CD-ROM
drive], double-click the Loadmeter folder, then double-click the folder named “Disk1”.
Double-click “Setup” to begin installation.
You can also locate the file from your Windows desktop by pressing the F3 key to bring
up the “find files” program. Enter “setup” in the [Named:] field. Click on the down
arrow in the [Look in:] field and select your computer’s CD-ROM drive. Select the
[Find Now] icon to begin search. Double-click on the setup application program. To
close all running applications, hold down the Alt key on your keyboard, hit the Tab key,
and close all open programs besides the setup program. Follow the on-screen installation
instructions.
“Out of memory” message appears on my screen.
This message means that your computer does not have enough conventional memory to
run Loadmeter. You will need a minimum of 32MB of conventional memory (system
RAM) installed in your computer to use the Loadmeter software.
If you have the required conventional memory installed on your computer, yet the “out of
memory” message still appears at software installation, you may have other applications
running that may be using necessary system resources. Close all other running
applications and retry Loadmeter installation.
If the message repeats, reboot the computer and try Loadmeter installation again. This
may free necessary system resources.
