FIGHTER 2010

For the Installer

6

Pipe installation must be carried out in accordance
with current norms and directives. FIGHTER 2005
works up to an outgoing temperature from the heat
pump of approximately 55 °C. See section “Commis-
sioning and adjusting” – “Adjustment, charge flow” for
the right flow setting. Since FIGHTER 2010 is not
equipped with shutoff valves on the water side these
must be fitted to facilitate future service. The return
temperature is limited by the return sensor and is
adjustable on channel 30.

General

FIGHTER 2010 is supplied with flow and return sen-
sors, sensors and cables are packed in the distribution
box. The edge board connector is fitted at the factory.

Flow sensor (89), yellow cable.

Return sensor (93), blue cable.

The flow and return sensors are routed through the
cable gland (102) to the measurement points.

The flow and return sensors are fitted on the
straight section of the copper pipe using cable ties
together with heating pipe paste and aluminium
tape.

NOTE! It is important that the contact between the
sensor and measurement point is good and that
the sensors are insulated.

Sensor placement

FIGHTER 2010 can be connected to the heating sys-
tem see the section “Docking” or according to one of
the system solutions that can be downloaded from the
website

www.nibe.se/vvs

.

The heat pump must be vented by the upper connec-
tion (70, WW-out) using the venting nipple on the
enclosed flexible hose. The supplied particle filter is
installed before the inlet, that is to say, the lower con-
nection (71, WW-in) on FIGHTER 2010.

All outdoor

pipes are to be thermally insulated with at least
19 mm thick pipe insulation.

The circulation pump should be operational, even
if FIGHTER  2010 is not running, to prevent dam-
age due to freezing.

The circulation pump can also

be controlled directly from FIGHTER 2010, terminal
(11), which takes the outdoor temperature into consid-
eration. Alternatively, the heat pump is connected to
an intermediate circuit with a heat exchanger, pump
and water with anti-freeze. Shutoff and drain valves
are fitted so that FIGHTER 2010 can be emptied in
the event of prolonged power failures.

The supplied flexible hoses act as vibration dampers.
The flexible hoses are fitted so a slight bend is creat-
ed, thus acting as vibration damping.

NOTE!

The pipe work must be flushed before

the heat pump is connected, so that

any contaminants do not damage the

component parts.

When docking with FIGHTER 2010, a total water vol-
ume, incl. boiler, radiators, pipes, etc. of at least 15 –
20 litres boiler water per kW output on the heat pump
is recommended.
