Double step thermostat
heating
A double step thermostat can also be used to switch
the compressor on and off. This thermostat should be
of the breaking type (NC) when the set temperature
has been reached. The contactor should be potential
free. The thermostat should have an adjustable differ-
ence.
If you choose to use a double step thermostat then
option “1” on channel 13 should be selected, see sec-
tion “Control Channel description”.
In this position channel 14 has no function.
The function for compressor operation will be as fol-
lows:

When the thermostat’s step 1 and step 2 are broken
both the compressor’s stages will be inactive.
■
When the thermostat’s step 1 is closed and the
thermostat's step 2 is broken the compressor’s
stage 1 will be active.
■
When the thermostat’s step 1 and step 2 are closed
the compressor’s stage 2 will be active.
Connection of the double step thermostat is made as
set out in the picture below.

Single step thermostat heating
(auto mode)
You can use a basic thermostat to switch the com-
pressor on and off. This thermostat should be of the
breaking type (NC) when the set temperature has
been reached. The contactor should be potential free.
Single step thermostat VT 10 or room thermostat RT
10 are available as accessories.
When an external
thermostat is not used, terminal block 30, pos 6
and 7 should be strapped.
If you choose to use a single step thermostat then
option “0” on channel 13 should be selected, see sec-
tion “Control Channel description”.
Set the preferred outdoor air temperature level on
channel 14 for shifting between compressor stage 1
and compressor stage 2.
Compressor stage 1 is used at high outdoor air tem-
peratures. Compressor stage 2 is used at low outdoor
air temperatures.
Connection of the single step thermostat is made as
set out in the picture below.
