General information for the installer

FIGHTER 2010

Current regulations require the heating installation to
be inspected before it is commissioned. The inspec-
tion must be carried out by a suitably qualified person
and should be documented. The above applies to
closed heating systems. If the heat pump is replaced,
the installation must be inspected again.

FIGHTER 2010 is placed outdoors on a firm base,
preferably a concrete foundation. FIGHTER 2010
should not be positioned next to sensitive walls, for
example, next to a bedroom. Also ensure that the
placement does not inconvenience the neighbours.

Large amounts of condensation water as well as melt
water from defrosting can be produced. Provide good
drainage at the installation area and make sure water
cannot run out onto paths or the like during periods
when ice can form. Ideally condensation water is led
off to a street inlet or the like.

The distance between FIGHTER 2010 and the house
wall should be at least 350 mm. Clearance in front of
FIGHTER 2010 should be at least one metre.
FIGHTER 2010 should not be placed so that recircula-
tion of outdoor air can occur, since this causes lower
output and efficiency.

FIGHTER 2010 should be transported and stored ver-
tically.

Installation

Inspection of the installation

FIGHTER 2010 is equipped with an internal electronic
controller that handles all functions necessary for heat
pump operations.

Accordingly, defrosting, stop at max/min temperature,
connection of the compressor heater as well as
enabling the heater for the drip pan, monitoring of
motor protection and pressure switches are controlled.

In addition, the number of starts for respective capaci-
ties and the running time for respective capacities can
be read off.

The integrated controller is set during installation and
can be used during a service.

Under normal operation conditions the home owner
does not need to have access to the controller.

FIGHTER 2010 has an integrated electronic return
sensor that limits the return temperature. The flow and
return sensors are fitted during installation.

FIGHTER 2010 can also be switched on/off via sig-
nals from other control equipment or a thermostat. If
FIGHTER 2010 is to be controlled using the acces-
sories SMO 10 or VVM 240 then relevant procedures
are described in respective instructions.

SMO 10 and VVM 240 communicate with FIGHTER
2010, which means that the settings and measure-
ment values from FIGHTER 2010 can be adjusted
and read on SMO 10 and VVM 240.
