, click the radio button. If you want your
Internet connection to remain active at all times,
enter “0” in the
Max Idle Time
field.
Otherwise, enter the number of minutes you want
to have elapsed before your Internet connection is
terminated.
Connect Automatically
- Connects automatically
after the router is disconnected. To use this
option, click the radio button.
Connect Manually
- You can set up the router
so as to connect or disconnect it manually. After
a specified period of inactivity (
Max Idle Time
),
the router will cancel your Internet connection,
in which case you will not be able to re-establish
your connection automatically as soon as you
attempt to access the Internet again. To use this
option, click the radio button. If you want your
Internet connection to remain active at all times,
enter “0” in the
Max Idle Time
field. Otherwise,
enter the number of minutes that you wish to
keep the connected status active, unless a new
link is requested.
If your ISP provides a PPTP connection, please
select the PPTP option. Then proceed to fill in the
corresponding parameters (Figure 4-12):
Caution:
Sometimes the connection cannot be
terminated despite your setting of the “Max Idle
Time” interval. This is due to some applications are
continually linked to the internet in the background.
