Plug the other end of the serial cable into the printer port (

), the modem port (

), or
the printer-modem port on your computer.
IMPORTANT
If you connect your Newton device to a PowerBook that has an
internal modem, make sure AppleTalk is inactive and Modem is set to
Normal in the PowerBook Setup control panel.
