SECTION 3 - LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE

BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

Whenever brake pedal travel becomes excessive, or

if the travel of one pedal is unequal to that of the other,

each pedal should be adjusted.

1. Loosen the locknut, 1, and rotate the brake rod,

2, until there is 19 mm - 30 mm (3/4

pedal free play. Lengthening the rod increases

free play. Shortening the rod decreases free play.

2. Test drive the tractor to make sure the braking

action of both rear wheels is equal. Readjust as

CLUTCH PEDAL ADJUSTMENT

NOTE:

Check clutch pedal free travel after every 50

hours of operation.

Clutch pedal free travel should be maintained at 19

To adjust the clutch pedal:

1. Remove the cotter pin and clevis pin.
2. Turn the clevis, 1, to increase or decrease pedal

travel as necessary.

3. Shortening the linkage will decrease free travel.

Lengthening the linkage will increase free travel.
