A name, a location and contacts can be seen at the home page of a device web interface:
where:
Hostname is a domain name of a device. It allows to distinguish several Netping devices of the same type by their names. A name is displayed at the
home page and in the heading of a web interface, is sent in Syslog notifications and is available via SNMP – OID «sysName».
Location is a description of the installation place of a Netping device. It is displayed at the home page and in the heading of a web interface. It can be
accessed via SNMP – OID «sysLocation».
Contact is an administrator's contact (usually, an e-mail). This value is available via SNMP – «sysContact».
