ReadyNAS OS 6 Desktop Storage Systems
System Shutdown
You can shut down your storage system in these ways:
•
Preferred shutdown
.
1.
Press the
Power
button.
The status display screen wakes.
2.
Press the Power button a second time.
Instructions for graceful shutdown display on the status display screen.
3.
Press the Power button a third time.
The system shuts down gracefully.
•
Forced shutdown
. If the storage system is not responding, unplug it.
•
Using the ReadyNAS local admin page

If the power supply is interrupted due to a power failure, the system returns to its last state
once the power supply is restored:
•
If the system was powered on at the time of the power failure, the system powers on
when the power supply is restored.
•
If the system was powered off at the time of the power failure, the system remains off
when the power supply is restored.
