RAID1
If you have a single disk in your Stora, your data uses RAID1 and is not protected against
disk failure or data loss.
You can maximize data protection by adding a second “backup” disk to your RAID1
configuration. By adding a second disk, the data stored on the first disk is copied to the
second disk as a mirrored backup and protects your data against disk failure and loss.
When you add a second disk, you will need to format it. Until it is formatted, it will show as
“unused”, and will not capture data.
To format a new disk
1.
Click the
Format
button.

Click
Yes
to continue the format process.
3.
Follow the prompts as they appear.
