use the alphanumeric entry procedure to enter the proper code. You
will then need to enable this code through Menu Number 26.
Menu Number 26: Block call waiting
Use this option to activate the block call waiting code or enable call
waiting code you may have entered in Menu Number 25 or 27.
Menu Number 27: Enable call waiting code
In some countries, if you have call waiting, you will need to enter a
code to enable it. The call waiting code may vary depending on where
you live. You will then need to enable this code through Menu
Number 26.
Menu Number 28: Connect Time-Out
This option enables you to change the maximum number of minutes
you will allow for the Yap Jack to establish a connection with your
ISP. The default is twenty minutes.
Menu Number 30: Modem Options
This option does not change the functionality of the Yap Jack, but
allows you to hear the modem actually dialing and connecting if you
so desire.
Menu Numbers 51-58: Upgrade voice language
Use these commands to change the voice prompt language menu. The
Yap Jack default language is English. Review the Upgrade section
before using these commands.
Menu Number 20: ISP Select
Use this menu number to choose which ISP to use (primary or
secondary).
Menu Number 21: Number of tries
This command controls how many times the modem will try to
connect to the ISP, alternating between the main and backup Internet
access phone numbers.
Menu Number 22: Optional dialing prefix
Use Menu Number 22 to enter any dialing prefix needed to access an
outside line. For example, if you need to dial a 9 to access an outside
line in an office environment, enter this number here. After you have
entered this number, enable or disable it by accessing Menu Number 23.
Menu Number 23: Enable dialing prefix
This option enables or disables the dialing prefix you may have
entered in Menu Number 22.
Menu Number 24: Enable tone or pulse dialing
This option allows you to change your telephone dialing between tone
and pulse.
Menu Number 25: Block call waiting code
If you have call waiting, you will need to enter a code to disable it.
The call waiting code may vary depending on where you live. In the
United States the code is “*70”. If your call-waiting code is different,
