Using Your Yap Jack
Making a Net2Phone Call
When you are placing a call from your Yap Jack to another telephone,
you are making a Net2Phone call. To place a Net2Phone call, follow
these steps:
• Pick up your telephone handset
• Press the button on the top of the Yap Jack
• Press 1 on your telephone keypad
• Enter the other party’s phone number

For domestic calls within the U.S., dial 1 + area code +
7 digit number (You must dial 1+area code even for a local
number)
♦
For international calls placed from the U.S., dial 011+country
code+city code+number
♦
If you are calling from outside the U.S., dial 011+country
code+city code+number
• Press the # key
• Hang up your telephone
After you hang up your telephone, the connection process will begin.
The Yap Jack will first dial your ISP and then connect with the num-
ber you are calling. Once the call has been connected, your phone will
ring and you can pick up the handset. Do not pick up the handset
before your phone rings or else the call will be terminated.
Note: It normally takes approximately 40 seconds after you hang up
for your phone to ring and the call to be connected. During this time,
the button on your Yap Jack will blink, indicating that your Yap Jack is
Entering Your ISP Password
Press 5 to enter the ISP PASSWORD MENU from the CONFIGURA-
TION MENU. To enter your password, follow the same procedures
used to enter your Internet access user name.
