Removing injector plate, de-blocking of injector
Solid residues in the water circuit can block the injector completely. An example is the
development of calcium particles if the machine is not descaled periodically. Therefore
this error appears during descaling frequently.
1. Remove capsule holder and close locking handle.
2. Release latch by pressing a suitable pin (dia. 1.8 mm max. e.g. a paper clip)
through hole and remove injector plate (C) by pulling it down.
3. Examine upper side of injector plate.
4. Clean interior space of sealing ring (E) with a toothpick etc.
Danger of injury -
sharp pointed
injector (D)!
The extraction
head is adjusted to a
specific injector plate.
Therefore do not
exchange the injector
plate or mix up different
injector plates.

If upper side of
injector plate is wet
and badly soiled, the seal
(E) is defect. In that case
replace complete extrac-
tion head (see page 34).
