Homologation
3.1 . Certificate and Limitations
The homologation certificate for each
FITZ ROY
is permanently affixed to
the central cell. For the above in flight weight ranges, the
FITZ ROY
is
certified according to EN standards : EN-B .
CAUTION: The
N
NEERRV
VU
URREESS
FITZ ROY
is only designed for foot launched
take off from a hill or by winch. The
FITZ ROY
is not designed or certified to
jump from a plane, balloon or building - or for jumping when there is a
delayed opening of the wing. The
FITZ ROY
is also not designed for
aerobatic or acro maneuvers.
3.1 . Harness adjustment
The approval is valid for any ABS type harness. An ABS type of harness
allows the pilot to adjust chest strap length. The recommended distance
between the carabiners is 42 cm. The
FITZ ROY
is similar to nearly all
other paragliders in that when the chest strap is loosened, the wing becomes
more sensitive to pilot weight shift, and the paraglider is more sensitive to
movements of the surrounding air mass. On the other hand, if the chest strap
is tighter and the carabiners are closer, the wing feels less sensitive to
turbulence, thus the pilot feels more stable but weight-shift turns can be very
difficult.

Setting up your glider
Before arriving at the customer, each
FITZ ROY
goes to final inspection and a
ground test to ensure that the wing correspond to factory specifications. Other
than the items reviewed below, adjustments or modification to your
FITZ
ROY
will void the warranty, and invalidate the EN certification of
airworthiness.
