CHARGING THE BATTERY
1. Place the charging stand near a
230/240V/50Hz electrical outlet.
2. Take the BS1363A plug (Fig1)(1) put it
into the 230/240v/50Hz mains outlet.
3. Turn the battery (2) upside down and
slide it into the matching slots in the
charger stand (3) do not insert the battery
the wrong way round.
NOTES:
a) Make sure the battery slides fully into
the slots in the charger.
b) The green indicator light will come on
when the battery is properly inserted into
the charger stand.
c) When in charging, green indicator light
come on, red indicator light flash. Check
to make sure battery is inserted fully into
the charger and the electrical outlet is
“live”.
d) When the green & red indicator both
come on, this means that the battery has
been fully recharged. Only then can the
power plug be pulled out of the socket.
The battery can then be taken out of the
base and can be used immediately.
NOTES:
a) A new battery or one that is completely run
down should be charged for 1- 1.5 hours (for
fast charge). After normal use, a battery
should be fully charged in about 1 hour
.
b) It is normal for the battery charger to hum
and be warm to the touch during operation.
c) If the battery does not charge properly,
check to make sure the electrical outlet is
“live” and that the air surrounding the battery
and charger is between 10
o
C (50
o
F) and 40
o
C
(105
o
F).
The charger in Fig (1) may very from kit to
kit this picture is for reference only.
INSTALLING BATTERY IN TOOL
1. Remove the discharged battery (1) from
the tool by pressing on the battery
release buttons (2) on each side of the
battery and pulling the battery out of the
tool handle (3) (see Fig. 2).
2. Slide the fully charged battery into the
matching slots in the tool handle where
the discharged battery has been
removed.
NOTE: Make sure the battery is fully
engaged with the mounting slots in the
tool handle. The battery release buttons
will “click” into place when the battery is
fully installed.
Do not immerse battery pack in water.
Sudden cooling could cause hot battery to
explode or leak.
