SAUTÉ Mode
Do not attach the lid during “SAUTÉ” mode. This mode is used to sauté or brown foods such as
ground beef, ground turkey, etc. Use this mode much like you would using a frying pan on the stove
or hot plate.
To use “SAUTÉ” mode simply place your food in the pot, choose “SAUTÉ” mode from the control
panel, set your desired cooking time, and press the Start/Cancel button (D) as described in the
previous section.
This mode does not cook using pressure, so you do not need to follow the steps for Pressure
Release. When your food has finished cooking simply press and hold the Start/Cancel button (D) to
end the cooking process.
SLOW COOK Mode
The “SLOW COOK” mode is designed to cook food in the same way as a traditional slow cooker.
This mode does not cook using pressure.
To cook using the “SLOW COOK” mode simply follow the same steps described previously,
however when the food has finished cooking you can simply press and hold the Start/Cancel button
(D) to end the cooking process and then remove the lid. You do not need to follow the steps for
Pressure Release
CAKE Mode
The “CAKE” mode is designed to cook food in the same way as a traditional oven. This mode does
not cook using pressure.
To cook using the “CAKE” mode simply follow the same steps described previously, however when
the food has finished cooking you can simply press and hold the Start/Cancel button (D) to end the
cooking process and then remove the lid. You do not need to follow the steps for Pressure Release
COOKING USING THE DELAYED START TIMER
This pressure cooker can be set to start the cooking process at a point in the future up to 24 hours.
To cook using the delayed timer follow the process described below.
NOTE: Perishable foods such as meat, poultry, fish, cheese, dairy products, etc. cannot be left at
room temperature for more than 2 hours (no longer than 1 hour when room temperature is above
80°F). When cooking these foods do not set the delay time function for more than 1-2 hours.
NOTE: the “Cake” & “Sauté” modes cannot use the Delayed Timer function.
1. Turn the Pressure Limit Valve (1) to the Keep Pressure Setting
.
2. Rotate the Program/Adjustment Knob (D). The Control Panel will unlock and will show all of
the available cooking modes. The selected cooking mode will blink, and the default cooking
time will appear on the screen. Continue rotating the Program/Adjustment Knob (D) until
your chosen cooking mode is selected.
3. Press the Time Adjust Button (E). The default cooking time will flash on the screen. If you
wish to adjust the cooking time, rotate the Program/Adjustment Knob (D) until your desired
time is shown on the screen.
