RS-232C
Standard interface for serial devices. This port is sometimes
referred to as the serial port.

scanner
An optical device that reads printed material and converts it
to a computer screen image.
serial interface
An interface that communicates information one bit at
a time.
serial printer
A printer with a serial interface.
software
Programs that run on a computer such as operating systems,
word processors, and spreadsheets.
system board
The main printed circuit board inside the system unit into
which other boards and major chip components, such as the
system microprocessor, are connected.

TFT
Thin Film Transistor. A type of Versa LCD color screen
that supports 256 colors.
V
VGA
Video Graphics Array. Graphics technology that supports
up to 256 colors and a graphics resolution of 640 by 480
pixels.
