3.14 Layout of solder-short pads
Several pins of the 70F3760 microcontroller are connected to solder short-pads. The pads can be
opened by the user to add user specific functions. The signal connected to each solder-short pad is
printed on the
V850ES/Jx3-H - Plug it!
board. To open a circuit, cut the narrow part of the pad with a knife.
To short a circuit again, join the separated pad with a soldering iron.

Open when P78-P711 isn’t used for general-
purpose input.
P02 Short
P02 to standby pin of 48MHz oscillator (U10)
Open when on-board 48MHz oscillator isn’t used
as USB clock.
P03 Short
P03 to output pin of 48MHz oscillator (U10)
Open when on-board 48MHz oscillator isn’t used
as USB clock.
P98 Short
P98 to SW3
Open when P98 is used for other purposes.
P99 Short
P99 to SW4
Open when P99 is used for other purposes.
P41 Short
P41 to USB D+ pull-up signal enable pin.
Open when you don’t use USB D+ pull-up enable.
P42 Short
P42 to USB D+ pull-up signal pin.
Open when you don’t use USB D+ pull up signal.
T_RESET Short
U2 Pin4 to T_RESET
Open when the on-board Reset Circuit isn’t used.
