L2TP gateway
– Connects with the Internet. Performs VPN communication with US40a together with
Authentication server.
– IPSec is used for data encryption. For authentication of IPSec, [Pre-shared Key] is used.
The character string of Pre-shared Key specified here will also be specified in US40a.
– Selects a policy to assign an IP address for US40a (to assign at L2TP gateway or at
external authentication server).
– RADIUS is used for user authentication. Authentication protocol of RADIUS uses
[PAP] protocol.
– When an external RADIUS server is used for user authentication, connection settings
are provided at L2TP gateway.

RADIUS authentication server:
– Authenticates the user when US40a is connected with the Internet. The RADIUS
authentication server must be set to reply to authentication request sent from L2TP
gateway.
Provide settings appropriately for each device.
