TONE (DTMF)
When end-to-end is “ON” you can transmit numerical information as a series of
tones using the tone (DTMF) feature (Example to check for messages in your
answering machine). To set end-to-end “ON” or “OFF”:
1) Press FCN + 6.

TONE GENERATOR
There are two alternative ways to use the DTMF feature.
First, make a call in the usual way. Key in numbers onto the display. Each number
is directly sent as a DTMF tone. The length of the tone depends on how you have
the DTMF tone generator set.
