User Manual

Blackbody temperature

As described earlier, an illuminant can be characterized with its corre-
lated color temperature. D50 for example has an approximate color
temperature of 5000K, but the blackbody radiator has a different spectral
distribution at 5000K.
Monitors show a different, characteristic spectral distribution, their white
point can only be approximated.
