RAID Level
Set the RAID level according to your requirements.
Logical Drive Name
Specify the desired name for logical drive you are going to create. Alphanumeric and symbol
characters can be used. To enter a numeric character, always use the standard keyboard. Entering
a numeric character from the numeric keyboard will not be accepted.
Physical Drive ID
Indicates the port number of the selected HDD (view only).
Stripe Size
Specify the data size to be divided for striping. Specifying the larger data size increases the speed
to read/write sequential data. It is recommended to specify the stripe size of 64 KB.
Capacity (Free)
Indicates the maximum capacity allowable for the selected HDD and RAID level (view only).

Specify the logical drive capacity. Enter the value not exceeding the "Capacity (Free)". To enter a
numeric character, always use the standard keyboard. Entering a numeric character from the
numeric keyboard will not be accepted. If no value is entered, the maximum allowable capacity is
set.

Select the mode to initialize HDD at creation of logical drive. Use quick initialization mode in normal
case.

If an additional battery is connected and charged enough, the
operation takes place in the "Write Back" mode. When the battery
power remains only a little, battery is not connected, or the battery
failure is detected, the operation mode is automatically changed to
"Write Through". This protects the data even if a power failure occurs.
Thus, to use "Auto Switch" is recommended.
