Technical Information 1-27
Support of isochronous and asynchronous transfer types
Support for a maximum of 127 physical devices
Guaranteed bandwidth and low latencies appropriate for telephony, audio, and
other applications
Error handling and fault recovery mechanisms built into protocol.
The system board fully supports the universal host controller interface (UHCI) and uses
UHCI-compatible software drivers. See Appendix A for information about the USB
connector pin assignments.
NOTE:
Computer systems that have an
unshielded cable attached to a USB port may not
meet FCC Class B requirements, even if no
device or a low-speed USB device is attached to
the cable. Use a shielded cable that meets the
requirements for high-speed devices.
Boot support for a USB keyboard is present so the system can be booted with a USB
keyboard instead of a standard keyboard.
Graphics Capabilities
The system supports accelerated graphics port (AGP) and PCI graphics boards.
A PCI graphics board installs in one of the computer’s PCI expansion slots. An AGP
graphics board installs in the system board’s AGP connector (see the following figure).
