Connect the cables removed in step (1) to the mating connectors as before.
After connecting the cables, close the ejector.
Strongly push the ejector (the part indicated by the arrow in the figure) until the controller is
inserted firmly, and secure the ejector with the screw.
When inserting the controller into the array controller, push it as far as it will go and
then secure it with the screws.
Incorrect insertion may cause a malfunction.
At the startup immediately after replacement, write back the IP address of the old
controller to the new controller. If the controller was replaced with a new one, the
system starts using the IP address specified for the new controller. Therefore, a
maintenance PC and NEC Storage Manager cannot connect with the old IP
address. To connect with a maintenance PC and NEC Storage Manager, perform
either of the following procedures:
(1) Connect by using the default IP address.
(2) Wait at least three minutes after the controller starts flashing, remove the
replaced controller, insert it again, then connect by using the IP address of the
old controller.
