The backup process is not

Make sure that backup software is installed correctly.
Make sure that more than one utility do not access to
the cartridge at a time.
It may be problem of cable/connector connection
incorrect.

code).
Refer to the instruction manual about LED or LCD
display.
-> In case of cleaning demand is displayed, perform
cleaning, then try backup job. If that problem would be
recurred, change the data cartridge.

Cannot eject the data cartridge
When press the drive
“
Eject
”
button, the tape cartridge
is not ejected, it may be occurred software lock
mechanism by the backup software.
-> Shut down the backup software
-> Reboot the system.
The drive prevents the cartridge from ejecting,
because of detected the something of errors
-> Reboot the system
In case of ejecting from the backup software eject
operation, built-in LTO will be the status of eject
standby, and it will not be ejected if not pressed the
eject button.
Tape may be jammed in the drive.
-> If the drive which occurs tape jam, replace the drive
to new one, because internal head, dram or guide pins
of the drive may be broken.

Cannot eject the cleaning
cartridge
In case of inserting the expired cleaning cartridge, the
cleaning cartridge may not be ejected in order to notify
the situation.
->Press eject button and take the expired cleaning
cartridge, then re-operate cleaning by using new one.

Eject the cartridge (In case of
data cartridge)
Tape may be jammed in the drive.
-> If the drive which occurs tape jam, replace the drive
to new one, because internal head, dram or guide pins
of the drive may be broken.
.It may be that it takes long time for reading data of the
tape. Wait until finishing to read data. If it occurrs read
error, then replace new data cartridge.
-> Make sure that correct data cartridge is used.
-> Make sure that combination of drive and data
cartridge is proper. For example, LTO4 data cartridge
is used on LTO2 drive, and so on.
-> Make sure that data cartridge confirmed
compatibility is used.
-> Make sure that the data cartridge is not exceeded
lifetime.
-> Make sure that it does not use data cartridge which
is previously occurred errors.
-> In case of the tape head becoming dirty, it may be
fail writing or reading data. And the drive eject the tape
cartridge. Clean the drive.
