NormClosed (2&3) - Normally closed sensor device connected between pins 2 and

3 of the RJ22 plug or pins 3 and 4 of a RJ12 connector.

Not Used (off) – Input not being used. (

Note:

Select this to increase battery life

when an input is not being used).

Paper Thin Occup. – This is only displayed when an intelligent capacitive sensing

pod is inserted into the left hand RJ12 connector. When a pod is connected it
opens up two additional functions:

o

“Paper Thin Calibration”

– This area allows an installer to calibrate a bed

sensing mat in situ. This ensures that any potential adverse effects caused
by the material the sensor is adhered to is minimized.

o

“Al.Type PT errs”

– This is an alarm that can be configured to be sent out

when the SensorMATe detects a mat has failed. The alarm type is
selectable between “Std/Any”(alarm type 0) or “Tech.Fail” (alarm type 43).

7.4.2  Monitoring

This setting allows the installer to specify the times that the installed sensors will be
monitored. It is configurable between:

24 hour – default setting, monitoring occurs throughout the day.

Day only – unit inhibited during the night period.

Bed usage – unit is used during the night period. An alarm will be raised

should the following events occur:

o

The user does not get into bed by a predetermined time.

o

The user is absent from bed for a period exceeding the dwell time.

o

The user does not get out of bed by a predetermined time.

Night only - unit inhibited during the day period.

Day/Night Dw. – allows different dwell times to be applied for day and night

use.

7.4.3  Daytime Dwell (m)

This sets the time during the day that the input must be in the alarm state before an
alarm is raised. It can be configured between 0 (Off) and 120 minutes and is
incremented in 1 minute steps. This setting is mainly used with Chair/Bed occupancy
solutions when a person is allowed to be absent from the particular monitored area for
a predetermined amount of time without an alarm being raised.

7.4.4  Night Dwell (m)

Individual dwell setting for occupancy solutions applied during the period defined as
“Night time”. The setting can be selected to “Off” or for any period from 1 to 120
minutes (in 1 minute steps). Note this setting is only available when either “Bed usage”
“Night only” or “Day/Night Dw” monitoring has been selected.
