Maintenance
Cleaning the Smart Scale
Required Items:

Soft cleaning cloths
„
Mild cleaning detergent (e.g., Virex

Tb, Virustat

, Coverage

or mild soap-and-water solution
„
Disinfectant (e.g., Sporicidin
®
)
To clean the Smart Scale:

If the scale is on, press
ON/OFF
to turn off the scale, then unplug the
power cord.

Dampen the cleaning cloth with either the mild soap-and-water solution or the
liquid disinfectant, then wipe down all exterior surfaces of the Smart Scale. Use
the second cloth to dry all exterior surfaces of the Smart Scale.
WARNING
Electrical shock hazard when the enclosure is open. Unplug the power cord from the
electrical outlet before cleaning this device.
CAUTION
„
Only qualified technicians should perform maintenance procedures.
„
Do not allow liquid to enter the enclosure as liquids may cause a shock hazard or
damage the internal wiring.
„
Never use alcohol to clean the device as alcohol will damage the plastic.
„
Always clean/disinfect the scale between patients.
