Test details
Shows which ear is being tested.
Single ear testing
Binaural testing
ABR
Shows the ABR response.
EEG
Is an indication of the amplitude of the total registered potential. The lower this
value is, the easier the test will be. If the electrode signals are significantly
high (disturbances, muscular artifacts) the data measured during this time will be
ignored.
Impedance
These impedance values are updated and shown every 20 seconds.
Progress
Shows the time elapsed for the current test frequency. If a
Pass/Clear Response
for the current frequency is not achieved the test frequency will time out. Max.
time depends on environmental noise conditions. If test conditions are optimal but
there is no response measured, then the frequency will time out before
the progress bar reaches the end.
The actual test is like a race between Progress and ABR:
•
If
Progress
wins, the result is a
Refer/No Clear Response
.
•
If
ABR
wins, the result is a
Pass/Clear Response
.
Pause
Press to pause the test.
Test duration for babies
Single ear testing:
Approximately 1½ minutes on babies with normal hearing under quiet conditions, however it is highly dependent on test
conditions.
Binaural testing:
Approximately 3 minutes on babies with normal hearing under quiet conditions, however it is highly dependent on test
conditions.
