Disassembly
WARNING: Electrical shock hazard when enclosure is
removed. Always disconnect the power cord from the
electrical outlet before cleaning or servicing.
CAUTION: PC boards contain static-sensitive parts. Always
use appropriate ESD protection when enclosure is removed.
To disassemble the scale:
1. Turn the scale off and unplug its power cord from the electrical
outlet.
2. Remove the tray by unscrewing four Phillips screws that hold
the tray legs in place ( Fig. 3F ).
3. For cart-mounted scales, open the cart door and remove the
four screws that secure the scale to the base (
Fig. 3G
). Lift
the back of scale and slide scale backwards until the Volume
Control Knob clears the front of the skirt. Next, lift the scale up,
out of the base.
NOTE: If a cart-mounted model needs to be returned to
Natus Medical for servicing, only the scale portion needs
to be removed and returned. Do not return the infant tray.
