Notes:
• In order to correct any discrepancy from the exact time, the clock will automatically syn-
chronise with the signal of the atomic clock every day at 2 am. If this synchronisation fails,
the "receiver" icon will disappear from the display, and the clock will try again to synchro-
nise at 3 am. If necessary, this procedure will be repeated again at 4 am.
• Each synchronisation takes from 3 to 16 minutes, depending on the strength of the signal
received. If no signal is detected, the clock will automatically stop the synchronisation after
6 minutes.
• Once the clock has been synchronised with the signal of the atomic clock, the "receiver"
icon will be displayed until 2 am the following morning.
• The clock will also periodically verify the signals of the atomic clock after 8 hours, 14 hours
and 20 hours. Any checks successfully performed at these times will cause the "receiver"
icon to be displayed continuously until 2 am the following morning.
• Press WAVE to manually launch the signal reception of the atomic clock. You can also can-
cel the procedure by holding down WAVE.
Automatic setting by radio signal
• Once the batteries have been inserted, the clock will automatically search for the radio
clock signal, as indicated by the flashing "receiver" icon.
• When the radio signal is received, the time and date will be set automatically.
There are four different levels used to indicate the strength of the signal:
SETTING THE CLOCK
Radio signal
Strength
No response/no signal
Weak signal
Clear signal
Excellent signal

ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION OF THE RADIO SIGNAL
AND DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME
1. Place the RC ON/OFF/DST selector in the RC ON position (to the left) in order to activate
automatic and continuous synchronisation with the radio signal.
2. Place the RC ON/OFF/DST selector in the OFF position (in the centre) in order to deactivate
automatic synchronisation without daylight savings time.
3. Place the RC ON/OFF/DST selector in the DST position (to the right) in order to deactivate
automatic synchronisation and activate daylight savings time.
You can use these settings to deactivate the radio signal when you are in regions where you
cannot or are not authorised to receive a radio signal. Transfer to daylight savings time will then
be based on the time and date that have been set manually, and not on the cities that apply
daylight savings time.
