operate this equipment in a way not recommended. Misuse of this equipment could
result in a hazard.
Cautions Equipment described in this document must be used in an Installation
Category II environment per IEC 664. This category requires local level supply
mains-connected installation.
Shock Hazard—This
equipment should only be installed by qualified personnel aware of
the dangers involved. If signal wires are connected to the backplane, connector, module, or
terminal block, dangerous voltages may exist even when the equipment is turned off.
Before you remove any installed terminal block or module, disconnect the AC power line
or any high-voltage sources 3 0 Vrms and 42.4 Vpeak , or 60 VDC) that may be connected
to any connector, terminal block, or module.
Refer to specific product documentation pertaining to system components (cable
assemblies, terminal blocks, and modules) used with the chassis for safety information
such as signal wire insulation, maximum signal rating, and safety earth ground connection.

signal wire insulation, incorrect signal connections, or inadequate safety earth ground
connections.

Adjustments and service to internal
components must be undertaken
only
by qualified service technicians. During service
of this product, the mains connector to the premise wiring must be disconnected.
Dangerous voltages may be present under certain conditions; use extreme caution.

Explosive Atmosphere—Do
not
operate the chassis in conditions where flammable
gases are present. Under such conditions this equipment is unsafe and may ignite the
gases or gas fumes.

P a r t Replacement—Service
this equipment only with parts that are exact
replacements, both electrically and mechanically. Contact National Instruments for
replacement part information. Installation of parts with those that are not direct
replacements may harm personnel operating the chassis. Furthermore, damage or fire
may occur if replacement parts are unsuitable.
•
Modification—Do
not
modify any part of the chassis from its original condition.
Modifications may result in safety hazards.
