Loosen the four captive screws on the door of the device with a 1/4 in. socket or 6 mm
(1/4 in.) flat-blade screwdriver.

Open the door of the device slowly.
3.
Disconnect the battery pack cable by squeezing the retention clip and removing the
connector from the battery power connector port.
4.
Loosen the four captive screws on the battery pack with a 1/4 in. nut driver or 6 mm (1/4
in.) flat-blade screwdriver while holding the battery pack securely in place to avoid
dropping it.
5.
Remove the battery pack from the device. Refer to the
section for
information about recycling your used battery pack.
6.
Insert the new battery pack into place.
7.
Secure the battery pack by tightening the four captive screws on the battery pack to a
torque of 1.3 N · m (11.5 in. · lb) while holding it in place. Be careful not to overtighten
the captive screws.
8.
Connect the new battery pack by inserting the connector of the battery pack cable into the
battery power connector port until the retention clip snaps into place.
9.
Clean the gasket and gasket mating surface with a dry or damp cloth prior to closing the
device door.
10. Close the door slowly.
11. Tighten the four captive screws on the door of the device to 1.3 N · m (11.5 lb · in.).
Battery Pack Recycling
Used MON-10401 replacement battery packs should be recycled. You can recycle used battery
packs through your local resources or through NI's global take-back program.
Through the NI global take-back program, NI covers all costs of returning its hardware
products and ensures that the products are properly recycled. This service helps reduce the
impact on landfills and other disposal sites and provides an environmentally safe end-of-life
