INSTALLATION VOICE PRIORITY METHOD
Please refer to the diagram on page 12
1.
Unplug all equipment from the telephone socket to be used.
2.
REMOVE the telephone line cord fitted to your FAX DEVICE (unplug it
from the modular connection on the telephone).
3.
Using the cable you have just removed, CONNECT the modular end of
this cable to the LINE IN port of
FaxSwitch 2
. CONNECT the other
end into your telephone line socket.
4.
Using one of the supplied Modular - Modular line cords, CONNECT
your TELEPHONE to the LINE OUT port of FAX SWITCH 2.
5.
If an Answering Machine is used, fit this with the telephone using a
double telephone adaptor (not supplied).
6.
Using the other supplied Modular - Modular line cord, CONNECT the
FAX DEVICE to the FAX MACHINE port of
FaxSwitch 2
. If the Fax
Machine has more than 1 port, use the LINE port.
7.
CONNECT the supplied 12VAC Power Supply and switch it ON.
8.
SET your FAX DEVICE to it's AUTOMATIC RECEIVE MODE. Then
SET your FAX DEVICE to ANSWER on the FEWEST RINGS possible.
If Fax/Phone switching settings are provided on your Fax Device,
ensure that they are all DISABLED.
9.
If ADSL or CALLER ID is used on this telephone line, please refer to
pages 16-17.
