CONNECTING THE DOOR PHONE
Model DP1 DOOR PHONE
Our DP1 Door Phone can operate with 2 wires, but for superior Audio Volume and
Clarity, we recommend that you connect 4 wires from the DS Controller.
DP1 uses a Mini Socket on the back of the unit. You will need to strip back the plastic
sheath of all wires that connects to DP1 and push them firmly into the small Round
Hole. They will then be firmly held in position. To remove the cables, insert a small
screwdriver (or any thin piece of metal) into the Rectangular Hole beneath the Round
Hole. This will release the lever holding each wire in place.
Two Wire Connection
- Connect Pins 4 & 5 (the center 2 pins) of the 8 pin RJ45
socket of DS1 to the center 2 inputs of the 4 position Mini Socket of DP1.
Four Wire Connection
–
Also
Connect Pins 3 & 6 (the 2 pins either side of center 2
pins) of the 8 pin RJ45 socket of DS1 to the outer 2 inputs of the 4 position Mini
Socket of DP1.
DP1 is designed to be mounted onto your wall surface. With DP1 this is done by
separating the Door Phone unit from the integral backing plate, secured by a
screw underneath the unit. The backing plate should then be screwed to the wall
surface, before re-attaching the Door Phone with the securing screw
.
Model DP2, DP3, DP4 or DP5 DOOR PHONES

of the 8 pin RJ45 socket of DS1, to the outside positions of the 4 position Phoenix

Your DP2-DP5 unit should be screwed direct to the wall with the 2 supplied
mounting screws, or to the optional Surface Mounting Kit.
