User manual 58185_TREE M4/6-TX PN IP20_hdb_en_10

 94/103

Simplified device

change

Once the switch

TREE-managed PROFINET switch

 is configured via the

PROFINET PLC, a simplified device replacement is possible. If the device is

replaced with a device of identical design (same article), the PROFINET PLC

configures the new device automatically with the set parameters of the device

to be replaced.

NOTICE

The prerequisites for a simplified device change are:

The topology is correctly configured in the TIA portal or the configuration
tool.

The port connections are identical to those of the replaced switch.

The new device has the same design as the previous device.

Firmware update

In the AR operation, no firmware update is possible at the moment. For this,

the AR connection must be separated physically by linking down the connec-

tion to the PROFINET PLC.
After having interrupted the connection, the update function on the web server

is accessible (see  11.7 SOFTWARE menu, Seite 83)

Reset variants

There are two reset options:

Factory Reset

PROFINET Factory Reset

Factory Reset

This option resets all configuration settings to the as-delivered state. This re-

set is described twice in this manual:
a | Chapter 9.3 "Configuration using the serial interface (CLI)"
b | Chapter 11 "Web server" under 11.4.3 "Manage configuration".

The settings are reset to:

Tab. 12-5: Factory Reset

NOTICE

The described as-delivered state of the PROFINET device differs from the

second option: e.g. the IP address is pre-assigned.
