RSTP parameters
The following parameters can be adjusted when configuring the RSTP (see
Section 11.6 "NETWORK menu"):
Hello Time:
The time interval between each BPDU sent by the root device to provide
information to the other network devices.
Maximum age of RSTP information:
The root device sends RSTP information with an age value of “0” within
the “hello time” interval. If a BPDU is received by the root device, each net-
work device sends its own configuration message to the root device. The
age value of the information (BPDU) is increased by one second each time
the message passes a switch.
Forward Delay:
The values show the time during which the switch is waiting until the status
of the port changes from “discarding” to “learning” and from “learning” to
“forwarding”.
